Hi,

I am an assistant professor at the School of Economics of Utrecht University .

My research focuses on two areas: the economics of immigration and the economics of education. On immigration, I study how immigrants shape host societies — from their labour market position and contributions during crises to the long-run effects of childhood exposure to immigrants on attitudes toward immigration. On education, I study how economic conditions at college entry affect study effort, field of study choices, and lifetime wages.

Before joining Utrecht University I was a Lecturer in Economics at the Universities of Manchester and Essex, and a Scientific Officer with the European Commission - Joint Research Centre.

If you are interested in my research, feel free to reach out via email or X.
